Historic Marietta Homes

There's something about historic homes that I just love. In fact, the homes, nestled along Whitlock Avenue in Marietta, Georgia, is what drew me to Atlanta to begin with. So, what an honor it was to be asked help a Marietta homeowner prepare their historic Marietta home for the market.

It was during the staging that the agent had mentioned that this home was one of the homes featured in Doug Frey's book titled Marietta, The Gem City of Georgia. It's an incredible book full of some of the most beautiful homes I've ever seen. I was at the home on Saturday putting the final touches on the staging we did and the agent had placed the book on the coffee table. Here's the photo of the home as shown in the book:

After glancing through Doug Frey's book, Marietta, The Gem City of Marietta, I was overwhelmed with just how beautiful the photos were. Feeling inspired, I captured the following picture of the dining room:

Kathy- it is remarkable the difference the lighter color made in the dining room.  The architecture is still there, along with the charm but there is now a fresher feeling!

Hi Kathy, I love the neutral wall color in the dining room:  It just makes those beautiful high gloss wooden floors POP.  Excellent job of preparing this home for sale!  It's lovely.

Kathy, I have such love for the character of this home.  Authentic and calming. Not too many homes in my town the offers the grace and charm of this one.  I can see why it was added to this book.  Your staging complements the room very nicely.
