Lace up your running shoes! It's time for Redding's Annual Turkey Trot 2012
SRMC’s Turkey Trot is celebrating its 27th anniversary! Redding’s biggest and longest standing tradition on Thanksgiving Day morning is an event not to be missed and fun for the whole family!
All the proceeds from the 2011 Turkey Trot were donated to Shasta Family YMCA, Shasta Family Justice Center, Plus One Mentors, Redding Recreation and Girls on the Run. And this year’s proceeds benefit the Good News Rescue Mission.

8:25 a.m. Wheelchair Race 6 Mile Race
8:30 a.m. 6 Mile Run – Will meet on the East Side of Court Street
8:45 a.m. 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk – Will meet on Carnelian Way and Elk Drive
The 6 Mile Race:
Age groups will be in 5 year increments beginning at 10 years old. (10-14, 15-19 etc.) Under 10 will consist of 0-9 years old. Prizes will be given to age group winners, three in each category. The overall top three men and women will also receive a custom award. We will have electronic timing and will begin award ceremonies as soon as results are available.
The 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk:
Is truly a FUN Run or Walk! Sign up the whole family! This event will not be officially timed. Participation ribbons will be given to all finishers while supplies last.
Diestelhorst Dash: A special treat will be given to each child who participates.
