Quadrennial Training

By
Real Estate Agent with Atlanta Communities 303302

Every 4 years Realtors are required to spend 3 hours in a Code of Ethics class. You see, one of the things that makes a Real Estate agent a Realtor, is that they pledge to conduct their business according to a code of ethical behavior. In order to stay up to date on the code, all Realtors must go through training every 4 years. Today is my day.

The classes are usually lively and entertaining as we look at historical issues that have come up and walk through them to see where the agent messed up, or handled it correctly. This code of ethics is something that does not get advertised very often, but I think it should be. This is the essence of being a Realtor as opposed to being a Real Estate agent.

If you are looking for someone to help you buy or sell property, you might want to ask prospecting agents whether or not they are Realtors or not. Because being a Realtor shows you that this agent has gone the extra mile to make sure that your business will be handled with the utmost care and respect to you the client.

Every 2 years here Peter, but some agents would be better off if they took a class on it every 4 months.

I won't mention that the ones that should be sitting in the front row are the ones in the back playing with their phones the whole time.
