The Dennis P. McHugh Library in Piermont will feature an art exhibit of local artists' images of the Piermont Marsh. Margaret Grace, a local artist, has curated the show which will feature the works of herself, Grace Mitchell, Robert Adzema, Frances Wells, Catherine Minnery, Laurie Peek and Sally Savage.

The Piermont Marsh covers over a thousand acres, making its way to the Hudson River via Sparkill Creek and draining 11 square miles of area watershed. Its tidal shallows, intertidal flats and vast expanse of reed fields provide an extensive habitat for marsh-dwelling wildlife. Its natural beauty also makes it an ideal venue for artists to paint and photograph.Piermont Marsh

The artworks will be on display at the Dennis P. McHugh Library in Piermont through the month of October, 2012 and admission is free.
