Thanks for sharing your photographs.
Enjoy the colors of autumn with your camera in hand.
Hi Pam, they were busy doing extra curricular activities at the time (pictures not appropriate) and didn't care about anyone or thing else.
Hi Myrl, these are pigs that were brought over with early settlers to Florida, escaped, and bred with native pigs which are solid black.
Hi Silvia, since they have two to three litters a year, they can be hard to control.
Thanks Roy, there is always something interesting to see when you are looking!
Hi Kwee, Sounds like you had a real photo op with these wild ones. I do like the markings on that spotted one.
I have never seen wild pigs other than in photos. So you have wild pigs and we have black squirrels!
Thanks for stopping by my post!
Gloria
Pretty interesting! You do not mormally see these out during the day, or at least on the side of the road!
Hi Gloria, because of ActiveRain, I now am ready with camera in hand for rare opportunities!
Hi Chris, we have problems with them digging up golf courses here too.
Hi Kristen, they happened to be mating. When this happens, they only focus on themselves, and nothing else. There was a car that stopped ten feet away to watch and they didn't stop.
Thanks for the pics Kwee. Not my favorite way to get bacon!
Hi DeeDee, we have some very large state and local parks near by, as well as cattle in the palmettos/woods to prevent development from crowding out the wildlife. It is still possible to see a Florida Panther on rare occasions!
Hi Gabe, I don't think it tastes the same.
Kwee, never seen ferel pigs, and would freak out if I saw these on the side of the road while driving!
Hi Joan, I think some Floridians might drive off the road if they saw an elk or moose too!
Kwee,
Those pigs look scary I hope all is well with you!
Kwee, oh my gosh! I didn't know there were any feral pigs out there. Wonder what they taste like?
Hi Kwee haven't seen any of these in a while, it amazes me that they are still around uh.
