I just ran across this Seth Godin blog post on the Agent Caffeine FB page. Both are excellent sources of inspiration when you need a little pick me up.

Godin's post asked: "Do you have a people strategy?"

He goes on muse about why we are all suddenly concerned about having a blogging strategy, a social media strategy, a web strategy, or a mobile strategy.

Do we really need so many strategies?

There is only one thing that matters, and it's people.

At the other end of all of these tools is a person.

The technology hasn't really changed anything.  People want the same things today that they have wanted for centuries.

  • Good advice
  • People and information they can trust
  • Laughter
  • Inspiration
  • Knowledge
  • Entertainment

Focus on people and you'll have all the strategy you need.

I just read a blog by Seth the other day about this same concept. His blogs really are informative and carry a more humanity based focus.  You and Seth are right - why develop multiple strategies that can make you seem like multiple personalties?  Be yourself, be honest, and treat others the way that you want to be treated.

so true  ,   I have always been a people person and have run into internal conflicts  as I have tried to develop my online strategies .  but Im coming to terms with it as I find the WIN/WIN implementations
