Mitt Romney & Barack Obama Roast Each Other

By
Industry Observer with Self Employed

Governor Romney and President Obama took a break from their grueling campaign schedules to take turns roasting each other at last night's 67th Annual Alred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner sponsored by the Archdiocese of New York.

"...the dinner remains a true phenomenon - a living memorial to an uncommon public figure, best known as the first Roman Catholic presidential candidate, who died more than six decades ago. Doubtless the dinner's honoree would be deeply gratified that he is being remembered each year in this fashion. He would be even more gratified to know that the dinner commemorating him and his unique role in American politics has contributed millions of dollars for charitable endeavors in the city he loved so much." - From the Alfred E. Smith Memorial website.

I think you'd find both are funny, and it's great to see that opposing candidates can be above politics for a good cause. You be the judge who's funnier. Enjoy!

Both transcripts from the Chicago Sun-Times.

Yolanda,

They both have so much to say, yet some how never quite answer the questions asked of them?

All the best!

I don't know what to take from this, but the country is still in serious trouble, by which the elite show their true colors with zero remorse in a country club joke fest.  Personally I didn't find it funny.

The Grand Imam was thoroughly skunked again.  He is obviously cowed by Romney.  Romney even had better timing.

I'd heard how good Romney was at this function, but this is the first time I've actually had a chance to hear him. He was EXCELLENT from the very beginning!

Mr. Travis - I was pleasantly surprised at how funny he was. He probably needs to show that side of him more.

Hi, Satar - Had Dr. Paul been the nominee, he would have attended and enjoyed himself, as well.

Really I thought President Obama sounded defeated and tired - even mentioning giving Chris Matthews a stroke...did not sound like he knew he was going to win in November...the Great Campaigner In Chief will be officially retired in January
