If You Wanna Be My Lover Realtor... Recently, I had a buyer who told me they wanted to 'give me a try' because their last two Realtors were deadbeats. Of course, I was a little skeptical after hearing that. It made me wonder who was really the deadbeat... the client or the Realtors?! So, I asked a few questions.
The Buyer told me that the first Realtor didn't have time for them (I know the first Realtor, and it's true, he doesn't have time for anyone). The Buyer said the second Realtor never called them back (I know this Realtor too... and she's notorious for going MIA). So far, things sounded pretty legit. Then I asked about their search criteria.
Once again, they seemed like reasonable people. They were very respectful of my time and thanked me for asking questions about what they really want. We made arrangements to view some homes and now they consider me to be their Realtor. So, what were these Buyers really saying?
The Spice Girls could answer that question. It seems their song, 'Wannabe' was written just for Realtors. They said, 'If you wanna be my lover Realtor, you've gotta give.'
'If you want my future, forget my past
If you wanna get with me, better make it fast
Now don't go wasting my precious time
Get your act together we could be just fine'Clients are like lovers, they want the same thing... attentiveness, appreciation and commitment. At the end of the day, they want to know that you'll put on the kid gloves and take care of them the same way you'd take care of a loved one. It's really pretty simple... they're saying, 'If you wanna be my Lover Realtor, you've gotta give!'
It begs the question... if you gave your clients the same attention you gave your lover... would they dump you or stay with you forever?
