16 Comments on WHO BELONGS IN YOUR TOP TEN?
Hi Susan - Steinbeck would definitely be in my top ten, but it would be for The Grapes of Wrath, which along with East of Eden, were both great movies.
Nice post...made me think of my top ten of films...I think Local Hero is still at the top!
Dick - The Grapes of Wrath did make the Top 100 (I loved that one too!)
Li - I had to go look that one up (not great remembering the titles) and yes, that is a good one!
Let me just say this GG, you are certainly in my top 10................
Susan - It was interesting reading the top 100 list. Although many of the titles are so familiar, I don't think I've actually read many of them. Perhaps this would make a good New Year's resolution, to work my way through the top 100 books!
For a couple of worthwhile books I would go with "Getting a Life" and "Your money or your Life". Same Authors.
Thanks Roger!!
Sally - what a great idea. I have a friend who is rereading Winnie the Pooh and loving it!
Rob - who's the author. I googled the name but got too many different hits.
Vicki Robbins and Joe Domingus co authored together!
Thanks Rob!
Loved 'East of Eden'....the book that is. Never saw the movie if there was one. Deliverance? Seriously? Hmmm...
Hi Shar - the East of Eden movie only covered a few chapters of the book; an epic fail in my opinion. I do know that I am going to have to read the book Deliverance because I just cant imagine it being worthy of being on the Top 100 list. Hopefully, I'll be proven wrong! I hate investing my time in a bad book
I love top 10 lists. I usually do them about movies and I did do one about favorite pizza restaurant fairly recently. My favorite book? I'll have to think about that one. I have 3 favorite authors...Stephen King, James Patterson and John Grisham.
Well here I am suppose to be working and I am lost in the top 100 books. It brought me all the way back to high school. I loved so many of those chosen but sad to see no Of Mice and Men.
