22 Comments on Napa Valley's own Castle of Love, Castello di Amorosa
Curtis, I will have to book mark this page so hopefully I can remember and print it out for our next trip to Napa. That is a very complete description. We are familar Sattui but the wines they sell at the other facility in our opinion are not that good.
Hi
It is a very unique place to visit and taste. He brought over quite a few craftsman from Italian to build it so authentically. cheers cvc
Curtis,
How were the wines! I was told my some other wineries that the wines there were not that good! So I was wondering from your experience what you thought!
Curtis, I have not visited Castello di Amorosa winery ... however it is now on my bucket list! What a great photo. The place looks like a castle.

I have only tried one and didn't think to much about it. Surprising, the wines from Sattui are usually quite good and reasonably priced.
Kathleen, come up some day and I will take you there and Del Dotto, one of my favorites.
cheers cvc
Hi Curtis,
We need to visit this castle the next trip and hopefully the wine is better than the stuff they sell out on the main drag.
I hope you had a good weekend.
Bob
When you come, we can all go together. It is worth the visit but there are better places to taste. cheers cvc
Curtis, I included this post in Last Week's Favorites. Have a great week!
Wow, I would never have imagined this could be in the U.S. I want to go! What a gorgeous spot and great pictures of it!

I don't get to Napa Valley often, even though I live close by. But when I do, I love to visit this place, it's beautiful!
Amazing. I have often visited California but I haven't taken the time to do the vineyards. This is a must. Just added a new item to my bucket list!
Ahhh and OH LA LA - sounds spectacular. Seems like the perfect place for a Honeymoon.
Hi
Thank you all for stopping by and commenting. I am taking the rest of today off and will get back to you all tomorrow. cheers cvc
Curtis,
I remember the Sattui winery, but had not heard of the Castello in our 6 and a half years of traipsing throug the wine country. A
Curtis - if I ever get out there, this would definitely be on my list to visit. It looks as if Italy has kissed/graced the Napa valley in more ways than one.. Ciao!
Hi
It was built and completed about 4 years ago but did take a long time to finish. Like I said, I always hear it is the most visited winery but if you ever drive by Sattui on a summer weekend, it is so busy you would think it id. cheers cvc
Curtis, what a beautifully written blog post. I feel almost as if I were there. Actually, the post makes me want to visit. I belong to a wine club and am bookmarking this page. I will suggest sampling wines from this winery at our next meeting. Thank you for the suggestion.
Mark
You are welcome and if you ever want a couple of suggestions, just let me know, cheers cvc
Curtis,
I am aware of the castle from a friend who has visited and from reading about it in the local press. I have to make a visit. We love to take the occasional weekend in the wine country but usually Napa or Calistoga. Must venture out!
John
It is definitely worth seeing. thanks for stopping by, cheers cvc
