Temps in Sacramento are going to be decidedly cooler these next several days, so last evening, I pedaled one more good bike ride along the American River, before looming rains set in.
The Parkway area near Sunrise bridge has a smaller foot and bike bridge, which connects Rancho Cordova to Fair Oaks. Last evening, the congregation occupying the bridge looked like an exercise in male bonding. There were absolutely NO binders full of women, anywhere near.
The Salmon are running in The American, and raucous chatter among the men, lined up at the span's edge, was infectious.
While snapping a quick photo of a fellow hoisting his catch of the day, I couldn’t help dreaming up a little recipe for Fettuccini, Alfredo Sauce, AND Smoked Salmon. I didn’t have a pole in the water, so guess I’ll need to buy my smoked salmon already cleaned and Safeway wrappedJ
