I am sharing this post simply because I think the Driftwood Stallion is beautiful.  It's even more amazing that it comes from something natural.  Thank you John McCormack for sharing it with us.  Thank you to for sharing your thoughts.

As with most any river you will inevitably come across a fair amount of drift wood.  We most likely wouldn't give it a glance or at most pick it up and observe it only to send it back into the rivers current.  Unless of course you have the mind of an artist or sculptor.  This piece I call the “Driftwood Stallion” is located in downtown Chattanooga Tennessee. It sits in front of a museum and shows clearly how something as simple and benign as driftwood can be transformed into a work of art that captures the interest and awe of so many.

We human souls are a bit like driftwood floating through life's many rivers but in the Masters hands are plucked from that meandering river and transformed into something exceptional and something unique.  In our Creators plan we shall become His sculpture and masterpiece.

Donna.... I'm so glad you enjoyed the beauty of the driftwood stallion.  He was even more beautiful and cool in person.  I take your re-post as a high compliment and honor.  Thank you.

Hi John~ Maybe some day I'll be passing through Tennessee and I'll get to see it in person.  Hope you had a lovely weekend.  See you in the Rain, my friend.

Hi Jane~ I've noticed that as I get older (and wiser) I have more of an appreciation for art and history.
