Vibrant Colors All Around the Hudson Valley!

The fall brings many colors to the Hudson Valley. Over the last few weeks I have watched the leaves as they have changed from green to yellow, orange and red. The transition of the changing colors is always a magnificent event. Today the sun was bright and the leaves were happy to dance in the sunshine.

I believe it was their last hurrah as we are at the peak of color for the season. In the next few days the colors will fade and the trees will shed their leaves in time for the winter snow. The Hudson Valley is a beautiful place to live.

Stunning.....!!! We spent the afternoon walking the Rio Grande taking pics of the beautiful golden colors of the Cottonwoods. I'll be posting soon but for tonight I'm just too worn out.

Pat.. my daughter lives in Columbia Heights and keeps me very much in the DC loop of things. I lived my down in Bethesda many years ago. and you do have a bit longer time with the leaves than we do.. I only wish!! the colors are just at peak.. and trees that were full yesterday are now with any leaves today. So sad.. but change is imminent and no stopping it.. I can't wait for spring!

Georgina.. the storm this week is bound to take down quite a few of the leaves... and although the colors are almost done, the trees are still with quite a few. This will all be history if Sandy makes her path here... I am not looking for to that storm or the snow and cold of winter..
