Mark Will, VP Strategic Alliances and Bob Herrera, VP Sales & Marketing of the Ralph Nichols Group, Inc. supported the celebration of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan yesterday. Mark and Bob worked with the peer educators of the St. Johns Health Teen H.Y.P.E (Helping Youth by Providing Education) to increase their effectiveness and confidence as leaders in their community.
HYPE is a youth development program that provides teens with leadership opportunities through peer education. Peer educators use theatrical presentations that include skits, spoken word, dance and rap/vocal to explore social issues related to teens. Peer educators also plan and participate in service learning projects through out the year. There are about 35 kids in Teen HYPE. They range from 13-18 yrs old. Most of them are high school students. They are a great group of kids that are open, fun loving and care deeply about their community. Through their projects, productions and service have had a powerful impact on their community. "They have the ability to lead not only their peers, but teachers and parents as well. " said a clearly inspired Mark Will. Mark and Bob worked with the group to provide an awareness of Dale Carnegie, understanding of what a leader does, how a leader should behave, how to exude confidence and stand out in a positive way.
Ralph Nichols Group, Inc. offers the Dale Carnegie Course for Young Adults providing the same training that has helped millions of adults. This course helps teens develop focus, communication skills, and the confidence to become leaders today and tomorrow.
