Providing Full Service To Your Client

By
Home Inspector with BeSure Home Inspection Service

This morning I arrived at my inspection a little early. I found that there was a fresh coating of 2"s of snow on the side walk. So I grabbed my shovel and cleared it off so that my client and the Realtor would have a clear and safe access to the inside of the home. When they both arrive they both were quite surprised to see the cleared side walk. I was a little ticked when the selling Realtor told her that her office must have cleared it. All of this was said as I was standing there with the shovel in my hand. Go figure. Oh well. My client later laughed and asked me why I had cleared it off. I told her that I am always looking after the safety of my client and who ever might show up. But the biggest thing is, you have to provide a full service inspection in this market if you want to have work when there are many others out there just waiting by the phone for work.

What a great extra effort you put forth.  That was vey considerate of you!  And the realtor knew very well that her office did not have that place shovelled.  But kudos to you for not making a big deal about it right then.  It wasn't the time or the place and your client probably respected you even more for it.

Mark it is the little things in life like that in which people remember you the most. No amount of marketing can compete with the kindness and goodness of your heart. That particular clueless RE Agent might not remember you from Joe Cool down the street but the next one and the ones before and after might.
