DESCRIPTION
Why pay outrageous rental amounts when you can own a well priced and well maintained home in Windsor Mill for less. In the words of the seller: When I found my condo, 7668 Gladstone Road at Windsor Mill, I knew I was home. It was in a quiet well-kept and very diverse neighborhood . It allowed me to have more time for family, friends, fun and travel because there was no lawn to mow , no leaves to rake and no sidewalks to shovel. In 3-5 minutes I can be on 695 and in less than 10 minutes, 1-70. I love to shop and there are 3 Malls within a 20 minute drive; Security Square, Owings Mills Town Center and The Mall at Columbia. What I love about my condo the most is the ease of living. It is handicap accessible, no steps to go up when carrying groceries, easy cleaning with the laminate floors in the living room, kitchen and hallway, the open concept to the kitchen, living room and sunroom and plenty of storage for books, office essentials, holiday decorations and items you just can't bare to part with. I love looking out the living room windows watching the seasons change and the beautiful grounds. The morning light spills in through the sunroom and gives you energy to start the day. Since moving here in 1995, I have painted the walls with designer paint, added custom blinds to the sunroom along with a matching ceiling fan, put down laminate flooring n the living room., kitchen and hallway, upgraded the lighting in the entry way and bathroom along with a new mirror and hand towel rack, replaced the carpeting in the first bedroom and added a built-in desk and shelving, bought a new microwave and garbage disposal, replaced the flooring and the laundry room and removed the bar in the living room to allow for more floor space and replaced the screens outside the sunroom along with the patio light. My utility cost are very reasonable. I have a thermostat you can program the temperature for when you get up each day, leave for work, return and when you go to bed. I use my central air all summer and keep it warm and cozy in the winter. My BG&E bill has never exceeded $150 per month in the hottest of summers and the coldest of winters and this includes the service plan. I have my system serviced yearly. The neighborhood is very close knit. You can trust your neighbors with a spare key. We have condo meetings once a year. We also collaborate with the townhome commuity for a yearly free bulk trash dumpster day. We occasionally have community yard sales and special project work days. One of the things I love about living in Windsor Mill is being so close to the city but yet living in a country setting. The Patapsco State Park Picknell Area is just down the road. At the bottom of Johnnycake Road you cross over the Patapsco River where many people fish. Historic Ellicott City is only 10-12 minutes away and offers wonderful antique shops and restaurants. Route 40 is about 5-7 minutes out and offers everything from Walmart to Starbucks. Some of my favorite restaurants in the area are Ledo's Pizza, Panera Bread, Bare Bones( fabulous ribs) Double T Diner, LaPaLaPa and Cacao Lane in historic Ellicott City. I moved into Baltimore County to be closer to my job, the interstate and reasonable housing and so many local attractions. |
