WEST TEXAS
West Texas is an area known for its natural beauty and small mountain ranges. Located in the Chihuahua Desert, West Texas has a lower population than the rest of the state. Once inhabited mostly by Indians, today West Texas has a large Hispanic population near the Rio Grande.

EAST TEXAS
East Texas is known for its vast forests and subtropical mild climate. With extremely temperate winters generally in the high 40's and mild summers in the low to mid-80's, East Texas also receives the most rain out of any region in Texas, almost 60 inches a year. East Texas has rolling hills in the north and flat coastal lands in the south.

South Texas
South Texas is known for its flair as a southwestern region of America. The epitome of "Tex-Mex" culture, South Texas has a subtropical climate near the coasts to a semi-arid climate in areas inland of the coast. South Texas is considered one of the best, if not the best, deer hunting areas in the United States. South Padre Island is also in South Texas, an extremely popular tourist location, especially for spring breakers.

Upper Rio Grande
