Rate Cuts, Rate Cuts, Rate Cuts!!!!

Today the Federal Reserve cut the Interest rates again lowering the rates another 75 basis points to 3.5 percent. The idea is that they want to keep us from going into a recession. Do any of you think that it well help? If so how? And what good do you think it will accomplish? If you don't think it will help let me know why as well.
