Newbie TuesdayToday, Newbie Tuesday reminds you to visit the Active Rain Social Roster and check out the new faces. Each day, the site is updated with new member information. It's a great way to welcome other members and establish more networking partners within your specific niche, or geographic region.

For example, here's a link to the top members who joined today, October 23rd. Here are the overall top members who joined in 2012 - you can easily see the members who have jumped into blogging with both feet. If you're curious, here are the top members ( by points) who joined in 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007 and 2006.

Frankly, being a Newbie can be a bit intimidating and overwhelming. Active Rain is our professional network. Its member, and membership success, is valuable to us individually, as well as collectively, as my pal Richard Yates writes in his most recent feature, "How to increase ActiveRain Memberships."

Therefore, please take Richard's advice and do what you can to increase memberships - and take my advice and do what you can to welcome and support our new ( and old) members.  In fact, Dominic Kirchner has a feature today - he's just passed his 25,000 point mark. Let's encourage him to keep on blogging, and leave our congratulations!  It's good for all of us.
