HALLOWEEN FESTIVAL: Halloween Festival will be held from 5-9 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Florida Carriage Museum and Resort, 3000 Marion County Line Road, Weirsdale. There will be a haunted barn, pumpkin bowling, hay rides, haunted woos, pumpkin painting horses bobbing for apples, costume contests, needle in a hay stack and more.
FREAKY FRIDAY: Dress up for all ages from 1 to 2:30 p.m. this Friday at the Freedom Public Library, 5870 S.W. 95th St., Ocala.
ROCKY HORROR SHOW: “The Rocky Horror Show” at 8 p.m. Friday and 8 p.m. and midnight Saturday at the Insomniac Theatre, 1 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala. Show runs Fridays and Saturdays through Nov. 13. www.insomniactheatre.com
VAMPIRE BALL: The first Ocala fantasy ball will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Jumbolair, 1201 N.E. 77th Street, Ocala. Tickets are $50 in advance and benefit the Humane Society of Marion County. www.ocalafantasy.com
BOOGIE BALL: Boogie Ball benefiting the United Way of Marion County will be held from 7 p.m.-midnight Friday at the Ocala Hilton, 3600 S.W. 36th Ave.,Ocala.
FUN FEST: Child-friendly event will include ghoulish games, such as an eyeball hunt, bobbing for apples, pumpkin bowling, face painting and more from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday at the YMCA, 3200 S.E. 17th St., Ocala.
SAFE HALLOWEEN: Safe House Halloween will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, at Marion Woods, 1661 S.E. 31 St., Ocala. Free.
FALL FESTIVAL: Trick or treating, pictures in the pumpkin patch and more from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hawthorne Village of Ocala, 4100 S.W. 33rd Ave., Ocala.
OWL-WEEN: Learn about owls and other “raptor” birds at 3 p.m. Saturday at Carney Island. Pre-registration required. Cost is $5 per adult, $3 per child and $5 park fee.
TRICK OR TREAT: Trick or Treat at the Paddock Mall from 6-8:30 p.m. Saturday, 3100 S.W. College Road, Ocala. Event includes candy, face-painting, photos, characters and more. www.paddockmall.com
TRUNK OR TREAT: Trunk-or-treat from 4:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday at Journey Fellowship Church, 2141 S.W. Country Road 484, Ocala. Games, bounce house, music and more.
HAUNTED CLASSROOM: Fall Festival and haunted classroom from noon-4 p.m. Saturday at Rasmussen College, 2221 S.W. 19th Ave., Road, Ocala. Free to attend. Activity tickets are 25 cents, admission to haunted classroom $2-$4. www.rasmussen.edu
TRUNK OR TREAT: Trunk of Treat from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at The Salvation Army, 2901 N.E. 14th St., Ocala. Free.
PHANTOMS IN THE FOREST: The Friends of Silver River State Park, Inc., is sponsoring “Phantoms in the Forest,” an evening of storytelling at 7 p.m. Saturday, at Silver River State Park, 1425 N.E. 58th Ave., Ocala. Admission to park is free, event admission is a canned food donation.
HALLOWEEN PARTY: Children's Halloween Party will be held 4-7 p.m. Sunday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 7525 S. Highway 41, Dunnellon. “How to Train Your Dragon” will be shown. (489-3166)
CREEPY-ZOOLOGICAL: The Zoo at Santa Fe College, 3000 N.W. 83rd St., invites the whole family to participate in this year's “Boo at the Zoo,” from 3-7:30 p.m. Sunday. The event will include costumed zookeepers, candy stations, games and activities for trick or treaters. It will also showcase organizations and companies committed to sustainable living. Admission is free.
