It was one of those nights where none of us was getting much sleep. Thunder and lightning pretty much all through the night. Two of my three dogs are wozzes about that, so one is hiding under under the bed, the lab wants to climb in bed with me, and the third is oblivious (she's pretty deaf).
So rather than cuddling up with a shivering hyper dog with pretty good sized nails on her paws, I decided to make myself some tea, get my computer, and do some research. And a big doggie bed right next to me to give comfort to the big yellow dog. When she wouldn't settle down, we mutually decided to go for a walk outside in our big garden when the rain became a drizzle, but with lightning still all around, And my dog actually settled down afterwards, probably getting comfort to having met the "boogieman" outside and it was no big deal.
MAYBE THAT'S A GOOD LESSON FOR ALL OF US: FACE THE BOOGIEMAN, WHATEVER IT IS, HEAD-ON.
Caption: Here are my three wonderful dogs begging for me to come out and play. How can you refuse when you get ganged up on like that?
