38 Comments on World Pasta Day-October 25! Celebrate the Day in Palm Beach County!
lol...I love pasta and eat it at least once a week. That being said I had no idea a world pasta day existed...OMG.
Thanks for letting us know about World Pasta Day, Kathy - and if folks are going to visit Buca di Peppo, get a whole gang together, it's so much more fun!!
If you're willing to go a little further north, then I highly recommend Cafe Sapori in West Palm Beach. 205 Southern Boulevard West Palm Beach, FL 33405 It has some of the best pasta outside of Italy.
I love me some pasta!
Lenn- I love it too! Larry made homemade Fettucine and I made a light Al Fredo sauce!
BARFF-I thought of you as I was writing this. I’m craving broccoli rabe with orecchiette!
Janis- I could eat it everyday with just olive oil and garlic.
Dorie- yummy! My grandmother grew up next to an Italian family so she could make the best lasagna and manicotti!
Frank- we used to go to the one near Winter Park in Orlando all of the time. Never got to eat in the Pope room.
Sally & David- I always have pasta, cans of whole tomatoes, jars of sauce in the pantry. And Larry has started making homemade pasta as well.
Wayne & Jean Marie- like I said...who doesn’t like pasta!
Sharon- I have to confess... so did I.. had it 2 nights ago.
Toni- have no fear... you can eat pasta two nights in a row.
Scott- Hello! Was very surprised to see the gold star! It’s cloudy and windy here but I have a feeling the upper east coast may bet it a lot worse.
Ron- try Dreamfields.. it’s low carb!
John (QMan)- perfect day for it! No need to have the all-you-can-eat salad! Way too healthy.
Silvia- I should have taken a poll..... look how many people have had pasta already this week.
Richie- well that’s quite the endorsement for pasta or something!
Joan- far be it from me to get out of a night of cooking but pasta can be so easy to make!!!
Michael- my favorite is broccoli rabe with turkey sausage and orrecchiette.
Kristin- what? none in the house??? We got a pasta machine this year and love it.
Joanna- we like the same things... I love pasta with just olive oil and garlic and I have always loved studying Thomas Jefferson. Hope you’ve had a chance to see Monticello.
Jeffrey- I didn’t realize it but I think we have it about once a week as well.
Peggy- I agree! The family style servings are overwhelming.
Randy- that’s not that far from me! I’m definitely going to check it out!
Patty- I’m really in the mood for it now.
Thanks for the info. Definitely didn't know that about Thomas Jefferson (thats pretty cool!).
Ok, I'm done I'm hungry for real for some pasta. Who can resist Italian food?
Sounds great! I didn't know it was PASTA day! There are many restaurants in the Northern Virginia/DC area to have great pasta but when I visit Boca Raton. I will be sure to visit your recommendation for Arturo's.
I lo-o-o-o-v-e pasta! Anytime, anywhere, on a plane, in a boat or a train! Happy International Pasta Day Kathy!
Thanks for the coupon and the announcement. I suppose I will eat pasta tonight.
I actually learned about this BEFORE I saw your post! (I'm on the email list for Buca di Peppo.) We hope to be celebrating tonight for dinner!
I read that kids will eat free today at Olive Garden for World Pasta Day! Anyone with little ones should check it out!!
Jon- he was very much a Renaissance Man. If you've not been to Monticello, put it on your list!
Cheryl- I'm with you. Give me pasta any day.
Reshawna- when we lived in Leesburg, we went to a small Italian restaurant in the same center as Tuskies. I can't remember its name but it was great.
Wanda- what a poet you are!
Kevin- hope you do! The coupon for Buca is pretty good too.,
Donna- we don't have one that close to us but it's so much fun to go to with a crowd.
Spectrum- did not know about that! Great way to feed a bunch of kids!
Hi Kathy. Thomas Jefferson was The Man, wasn't he? Everybody loves pasta -- espeically home made? It's worth the extra effort.
Kathy,
I am just seeing this now... this sucks. I wish I had known sooner.
Pass the pasta. I could use pasta day every day of the year! Thanks for the info Kathy.
Morning Kathy congrats on the feature it seems there are things going on weekly around you. Makes it a great avenue for going to every one that you can bringing lots of cards and business cards.
Kathy, if I had only known it was a celebration I could have had some wine. This past week it was beef stroganoff, angel hair spaghetti and some lasagna on the 25th.
This vegetarian loves her pasta. Thanks for sharing. I should be in the area in a few months.
Sorry I missed reading your post on 25. I will remember it next year.I could have gone to Olive Garden.
