Taxes, Taxes, Taxes

Boy I have questioned the tax bill coming up.  Doing nothing doesn't seem to be a good idea. To vote still does nothing for second home, vacant land and commercial people. Again no representation and not fair taxing.

There are a ton of people like myself that have been in their same home for many many years.  They basically are not paying their fair share of taxes.  With the doubling of values the milage was lowered. Therefore these same people lowered taxes.  Second home people and new residents, lot owners, business people have been paying double and then triple the next year in taxes. These people don't have a vote.  Nobody should have that kind of increase 2 years in arow.  Local governments should be ashamed for not controlling their spending.  You might think they were putting the money in their own pockets instead of crippling our second home people.  They were trying to sell by the droves.  Our reputation in the North is horrible. This will take some time to get past this reputation.

Portability and homestead and another $25,000 minus school taxes.  OK, again what about all those wonderful retirees that would love to come to Florida but the taxes.  We look like New York and we don't have the wages to justify this kind of tax burden.

What really frosts me is the threat of cutting police protection and medical.  How dare they!  My question is where is all that money collected.  No one seems to have a good answer.  Fair taxation for all is what we need and want.  I guess this bill is a step in the right direction, but we seem to forget about our visitors that own but don't have a voice.  Hurray for the guy suing the state on this bill.  We needed someone to get their attention.
