38th Annual Mission Team Craft Fair

October 26-October 27, 2012 Handmade gifts! Come check out a wide selection of goods and support local crafters at the 38th Annual Craft Fair sponsored by the Mission Team. Hours are Friday, October 26th from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm and Saturday, October 27th from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. Admission and parking are free at the First United Methodist Church of Coral Springs at 8650 W. Sample Road in Coral Springs. Vendors will be there with handcrafted items such as ornaments, woodcrafts, crocheted gifts, pottery, and home decor. We continue to feature a yard sale with gently used treasures. Don’t miss the bake sale. Refreshments will be also available in the courtyard. Funds raised by the Craft Fair support missions to meet basic needs of people in Broward County and across the globe. Locally, Mission Team members feed the hungry and homeless in Coral Springs and in downtown Fort Lauderdale, visit shut-ins and others in need, and support foster children. The benefits are also felt a world away. Jim Cavnar , President of Cross International, says “Our collaboration with First Church United Methodist in Coral Springs is an excellent example of just how effective those partnerships (with local churches) can be. On two occasions, they helped us fill a tractor trailer full of supplies to help disaster victims – most recently in response to the Haiti earthquake. That outreach had a huge impact. I wish every church in South Florida had that kind of heart for overseas missions.” We invite you to come, take a look at handmade goods created by local crafters, and help a worthy cause at the same time. For more information, please email craftfair12@yahoo.com or contact the Craft Fair Coordinator at 954-304-6136.
