Canyon Creek ElementaryCanyon Creek students are inspired to use their creative talents by expressing themselves through their own original works for the Reflections program created by National PTA! This year their theme is "The Magic of the Moment".

Students get to interpret this theme through the art areas of dance choreography, film production, literature, musical composition, photography and visual arts. They are so fortunate to have such an array of venues to choose from!

Students can submit more than one entry. Many are in the mode of creativity and are getting out their paint brushes, colors, pens and cameras and dancing shoes! I can’t wait to see their entries.

The Due date is drawing near: Friday, November 2, 2012
Rules and Entry forms can be found at:

"The Magic of the Moment" sounds like a great thing for the kids.  As you know I'm for anything that get's kids imagination and bodies in motion and away from all the hands on techy gadgets of today.

Excellent challenges for your local students.  I find moments of magic when I photograph beautiful flowers.

Have a great day.  Enjoy the colors of the season with your camera in hand.

Dorie: What an excellent way to get kids to use their creativity, combined with technology in many cases, to produce something they will be proud of.
