This afternoon my Donald and I played cards with friends. We had a fabulous lunch followed by an afternoon of playing cards. We play a game called hand and foot and it's all in fun, no money involved. But we do have a little trophy that we swap back and forth depending upon who wins 2 out of three games each month when we get together to play. Sadly the elephant is NOT on my entertainment center where he has been the last three or four months. But we still had a great time. Sometimes it's just about the game....
But when it comes to my clients I always want them to win. That's my job to help them make the best "winning" offer when we know we're in multiple offer situations. It's my job to not let them over pay for a house they like when the seller has dug in their heels at a price I just know that nothing will support getting an appraisal for that price. It's my job when the buyer says... "wow, we love it, it's a great price" to make them understand we still need to "make an offer" as long as we know there are no other offers to compete with so my buyer can get the "best" price.
I LOVE it when my clients WIN. It's my job to make my clients the winners. And of course when my clients win I feel like a winner too. Before I took the afternoon off to play cards I had a closing this morning where one of our buyers got a great deal on a house. He just returned from his honeymoon. He got married while the property was under contract and now they are ready to move into their first home.
