Roy, I'm constantly amazed at the pro-active approach your Gaithersburg Maryland government takes - more city governments need to take note of all that Gaitherburg does instead of just staying behind the scenes.  We do know they do a lot, but opportunities like this bring them out into the open.

Hi Roy.  What a great idea.  More police departments should be doing this.

Thanks so much for your comments.  We are in a storm watch mode in Gaithersburg.

Karen:  Do not worry.  The speed cameras issue more tickets than would ever be possible by police officers.

What a great opportunity for local residents. I wish our area did something like that and may look into promoting a similar event. As great as your post is, I am enjoying your photographs even more. I am a great admirer of Dale Chihuly and Ms. Kelley's pictures of his work are stunning. I've bookmarked this to come back to it later today when I can really study the pictures. Stay safe and dry in MD!

Roy,

You are right a realtor could host that.  There is a realtor here in Santa Barbara that works a particular neighborhood, and she hosts a semi annual garage sale which benefits the homeless and a bagel and cream cheese breakfast.  It takes time but it has paid off in listing and sales big time.  A

Hi Roy, I think this is great. It really helps for people to know their police and feel comfortable with them and not be fearful.
