53 Comments on I Turned a Wrong Number into a Sold Listing
Hi Debbie ~ talk about making the most of a wrong number call! Way to go to help that potential client, and then to secure the listing and such a fast sale!!
BTW a few years back I had my home on the market and was in Paris on vacation when my listing agent contacted me and said we had a great offer. I was able to sign everything in a couple of hours and the distance made no difference. Real estate loves technology!
Debbie - This is such a great story. I love how you turned lemons into lemonade. - Debbie
Awesome job! Last year I sold a house for a client stationed in Germany. Docusign was a lifesaver! What did agents to do before all this great technology?
Debbie, you are amazing turning this into a great sale. Good for you.
The moral is to be alert, professional and always ask for the order. Love it!
Debbie- now that's the way to turn a "wrong" into a "right"! Congrats on the feature. I bet the seller is glad he called the wrong number as well.
What a fantastic story, I love these kind of things, because I think this kind of opportunity is all around us, we just need to recognize it and open our mouths. I was at a restaurant the other night and the waiter mentioned he had bought a home a year ago. Knowing where rates were at that time, I asked about it, and sure enough, he was in a good position to refinance, and so I am now working on his loan.
These opportunities are all around us, good job taking advantage!
If we treat people with courtesy, we are sometimes rewarded with unexpected good things.
Jon, I was at the right place at the right time. I was just trying to help this soldier in Korea with his rental and it turned out to be good for both of us.
Morris, I wouldn't have hung up because it is so hard to get to the right party when calling from overseas. I am glad it happened.
Maureen, These new tools have made our jobs so much easier.
Hi my Women of Westchester, I love lemonade, don't you?
Allan, We were programmed to use snail mail and Federal Express.
Amada, It turned out to be a lucky phone call for me.
Michael, There is the possibility of a sale with everyone we talk to if we will recognize it.
Kathy, I think the seller was stunned the whole way through how easy it was. The wife would just gigle when I called she was so happy.
Shane, Good for you. If we will just talk it, people will listen and we will get business.
Debbie,
I love your story and congratulations on the excellent outcome. You managed to combine the benefits of modern technology (electronic signatures) with the age-old basic requirement for success…showing up for work.
Thanks John. It did have a very successful outcome. All parties were happy.
Good for you! You never know when an opportunity will arise and you handled it flawlessly. It is all in the details. Congratulations.
Karen, I did what so many of us would and that is try to help them.
Excellent. You seized the opportunity and turned it into a win win for the seller and yourself.
E-signatures are a true blessing to our industry.
Cameron, I wonder what we will have in the next ten years that will make our jobs even easier.
Debbie, somewhere along the way you lost one that you felt you should have had. This was it's replacement Well Done.
What an awesome way to handle a wrong number! Just taking the time for the conversation rather than just hanging up was profitable for you. Sounds like a win-win for everyone.
Ed, That is for sure and to tel you the truth it was several. LOL
Beth, Actually my first inclination was that he had a wrong number but then I thought I need to try to help this guy.
Love to see stories like that. Kudos to you for being able to take lemons and turn it into lemonade. :)
Ann, Thank you. I was excited that something wonderful came out of that phone call.
Jon, That phone call really turned into something good for both me and the seller.
