The Results of the first Rev3 Triathlon in Venice FL

 The excitement is over and it is time to announce the results of the first Rev3 Triathlon in Venice FL on October 28, 2012.

We had nice weather, cloudy with a breeze and it helped to keep the competitors and volunteers cool and comfortable.

The 1.2 mile swim was supposed to start at 7:40am – Sharky’s on the Pier, but due to the rip tide, the swim was cancelled and it revised into a run-bike-run, followed by 56 mile cycling at 8:00am – 2:00pm and the 13.1 mile run was ended at 4:00pm

The following are the top three winners for men and women, who completed the race of the first Rev3 Triathlon in Venice FL.

 

Men’s winners:

1st place: Jesse Thomas - professional triathlete from OR.

2nd place: Andrew Starykowicz – professional triathlete

3rd place: Viktor Zyemstev – from Ukrainian

 

Women’s winners:

1st place: Becky Lavelle – professional triathlete from Los Gatos CA

2nd place: Nicole Kelleher – professional triathlete, college student for a doctor’s degree in Charlottesville VA

3rd place: Jessica Meyers – professional triathlete from Tulsa OK

Congratulations to all the competitors especially the winners for their strength, commitment, dedication, determination, discipline and focus to achieve their goals.

 

On behalf of the City of Venice, we thank all the sponsors, volunteers and the leader of Rev3 organization who helped to make this first Triathlon in our town a great success.

We hope Rev3 Triathlon will become an annual event of Venice Florida.
