Weeks ago we attended a seminar where we were reminded about the importance of communication.
Duh!
We all know how important it is. The question is how best to accomplish the task!
How many of us have had buyers who spoiled the progress of their loan by going out during the process and purchasing a new car? There went the ratios!
So with precluding those sorts of glitches in mind, how about creating a hand out to give the prospective buyer on the first face to face meeting.
Just consider the possibilities!
Handing the buyer a well thought out itemized list of what to expect could prevent a lot of miscommunications.
We are in the process of designing a do's and dont's handout for prospective buyers and sellers.
Everyone's experiences have been different in both areas, so it stands to reason that each of us will have different hand outs.
If each of us actually designs helpful materials such as this, it should provide at least a measure of protection from failed transactions.
Jeanne and Ralph, That is such a good idea to do a list like that. It would be appreciated by most buyers and sellers.
Every real estate professional needs to provide continuing education for prospective buyers and past clients. A regular email is a good starter.
Have an outstanding week. Enjoy the colors of the season with your camera in hand.

Jeanne and Ralph,
Great idea and then no one gets insulted if you think they would do something like that..people can get offended so easily!
Jeanne and Ralph: I agree with others above. A hand-out list won't be so personal as just telling them, but it gets your points across and they are not as likely to forget them. Oh, and later they can't come back to you and say "if you had only told us."
