Storm Sandy kept us in check in New York city!

By
Real Estate Agent with Douglas Elliman Real Estate

If you have been watching the news, then you know Storm Sandy's arrival has been all over the Eastcoast especially near New Jersey, New York, Connecticut area.

Living in Manhattan New York and in high rise condos, we were told to shut our windows, lock them if possible and close the shades. We have taken the precaution in moving items away from the windows and store up food and supplies. New York Stock Exchange was closed today, New York city subway, buses, public transit were shut down, some neighborhoods were evaculated, our neighborhood was ok so we stay put.

Today we just sit tight indoor and watched the news of Sandy's whereabouts. So far tonight it has been very windy and rainy outside, we think the storm had moved into New Jersey and we hope tomorrow NYC will be back in business.

Morgan, been thinking of you guys all day, and hoping all was ok.    That is the only thing on our news in Denver too.   Stay safe my friend.   At least you have electricity.   Ginny's went out around 3 today.

Hey, Morgan!  Stay safe and dry.  We're watching the storm news on TV, which means we're lucky enough to still have power.

Morgan, stay safe...it sounds like you're doing all that you can...all the right things. I didn't realize until you mentioned it that the NY Stock Exchange was closed. I was wondering all day why I wasn't getting updated quotes...I knew NY was closed...I just didn't make the connection.
