I wrote a post today about buyers listening to me and using a loan officer with a great batting average. Two deals and one listened, one didn't and I'm so frustrated with the ones who didn't listen to me. Arggg.
True enough Gene....and I wish I could believe what any lender had in their crystal closing ball.....but...
Perfect example of why they need to read your post and mind, Tammy ... good advice! Who knows better than a Realtor which Lenders are best??
Sally: Hey! Hey! now ... remember who you're writing to! lol but I understand your pain. Exactly why I wrote this post, Sally ...

This is exceptional advice, Gene.
"What percentage of your applications are you successfully Closing?" ... and "What percentage of those that you
Closed are doing so ON TIME, as stated within the Contract?"
Gene very very true and top notch advice. It's critical to work with the best lender possible - especially in todays' market. You are so hired!
Those are the two best measurements for a loan officer. However, most of my non-closed loans were for reasons that were outside of my control.
Don: Thank you! And let me guess, you liked the visual???
Wow, Anna! I'd SO love that! We'll work on it ...
Kathy: It happens. If any LO is telling someone they close 100% on these stats ... well, I don't think so ... not in this market.

Great job with the post and I understand it fully. I recently wrote a post, that shared about, the more that our clients have educated themselves, the better we look.
So true, Joe! It's just so much more enjoyable to work with educated and involved Borrowers ... and we're so much more successful while working with them too. They get it!

Gene, I'm working with a buyer who has a pretty complicated loan. Because of this, we didn't use my regular guy but used the buyer's bank of 17 years. We are scheduled to close two weeks from today. I'm not sure it's really going to happen. However, I was worried the buyer might be a little uncooperative with my regular lender. It is important to ask lenders their closing rate. What does it matter if he has a great rate, if he can't close the loan on time?
Exactly, Tammie! You're one smart cookie ... and your client should be glad that he's working with an agent that understands him .. and the process ... and the way business works. No one comes out a winner, if the transaction is not successfully completed. YOU are doing everything you can to facilitate success!

Gene~GREAT questions any buyer should ask! I'm bookmarking this one, as well as "Liking" and Suggesting!
Glad you felt it will be beneficial to you and your clients, Liz. Thank you for the "Suggestion" too ...
