I am so privileged!!! Tomorrow I will attend a closing for dear frineds. We first met Julie the week we arrived in Peru back in 1985. She was our youngest daughter's tutor. We had just spent a year in Mexico and Costa Rica learning spanish, and our daughter was stuggling to learn to read in English. Julie was single teacher helping English speaking missionary kids in Lima Peru.
Soon it was time to move on out to the jungle, there we met Dave, an adult son of lifelong Wycliffe missionaries.
Later Jule and Dave fell in love and married.
Now they have returned to the US to be here for a while while their son gets started in college.
I was so surprised when they called me a few months ago and ask if I would help them find a home. You see, I spent 26 years as a missionary with Wycliffe too. Now I continue to try to serve others by helping them find homes for their familes.
After traveling to many countries in 26 years and setting up homes in Costa Rica, Peru, Chad and the Ivory coast (an many other temporary places), I know what it is like to be a stranger in a strange land, that is why it is so much fun to help others find homes in strange lands! Soon the place isn't strange anymore, it is just HOME
