A new Group was formed recently directed at a different approach to presenting your listings and market condition reports. The Group is City & State: Listings and Reports.

There are several Groups that allow listings, but this one is geared towards identifying the City and State as the first tag words in your post and then adding your title to finish informing your reader about your topic.

The Group is strictly for Listings and Market Condition reports.

To add interest and to promote your listings or reports, pictures, charts and images are critical.

To add a picture or image to your post you use the icon on the tool-bar above that looks like this:

Once you have found the picture you wish to use, there are several features you will want to ge t familiar with.

There are two tabs at the top of the screen used to insert your photos. After you select the photo you are going to use, then click on the "Appearance" tab. This is where you can resize your photo, as well as use other features.

There will be numbers in the "Dimensions" boxes. These numbers (pixels) determine the size of your photo once it has been inserted into your post. If, once you insert it, it is too small or too large, highlight the photo, click on the little tree again, go to the "Appearance" tab and change the first number of the two boxes, and then select the "insert/update" button. You can experiment with the size as much as you want until it suits your plan.

For a great tutorial on making your text flow around your photos, here is the best place to learn about that feature: AR Tutorials - Flowing Text Around Images

For more on the subject, there is someone much better qualified to help you learn as much as you want about photos and other clever tips. He is Jeff Turner and I highly recommend that you go to his post to read all of his tutorials. Just click on this link: Turner's Perspective to get started.

Then you can send our Group some of your listings and market condition reports!

I know I should have let you know sooner, but sometimes I'm a little slow.

I see you have already sent several reports from the convention to your blog.

The hammer is good, but to those that have not kept our system user friendly, there is water boarding. HA!

I'll teach you what you want to know when you get back.

Glad to have you in the group. There are lots of people here that can help you learn many things if you have the time to look deep.

How do you get alignment to be correct? I posted in City, State listings and chose to have a couple of the photos centered. They looked OK on the preview, then, when I posted the photos aligned left anyway. My post is for Sister Bay, Wisconsin.

Click on the picture and then go up to the toolbar and click "Align Center".

Since there is no text beside or associated with the 3 pictures, you treat the picture as text or a paragraph.

Click "Edit" on the post, try it, then "update". If you run into a problem, let me know and we'll work it out.

PS: Move your text cursor to just in front of the picture and click "Align Center", then click once on the picture and go up to "Align Center" then move the text cursor to the right side of the picture and click "Align Center" once again.

3 clicks (Align Center) on the same line, before pic, the pic, and then after the pic.

The "newbies" that go to the AR Newbie Group will not see it there, because for some reason my helpful posts submitted to that Group are eliminated, so I appreciate that you found is somewhere else and can benefit from it.

Your post looks like you spent a fair amount of time preparing it. As long as your posts present either your listings or Market CONDITIONS and not "general" or "community interest" type stuff, you will be fine. This group is where you can present the facts about your listings and market conditions to the consumer, not necessarily the AR members, that want to know about the real estate available and what is happening currently in your market.

Thanks Don.  This really makes a difference to listings.  I have to get the hang of the text wrap because mine changed depending on the site.  Thanks for the links.  So much to learn.
