Cape Cod homes for Sale, Tree damage

Pounding winds could topple trees or branches into homes and cars. Storm surges could flood basements. Power outages could leave food spoiled.

The mega storm that hit the East Coast, with Hurricane Sandy as just one component, left plenty of damage. And after the cleanup comes the question: What will insurance pay for?

Robert Gold of CapeCod Online has information for Cape Cod residents in a timely article.  To read it just link to it here:   http://riverfarmproperties.com/?p=4432

The size and the scope of this storm is amazing it will negatively effect insurance companies.

I agree Tim.  This will likely result in premium increases across the board for years to come.  Just lucky I don't live in NJ.

John, I am sure that is a question on the minds of many homeowners.  Sandy left a lot of damage behind, hope everyone had the proper insurance coverage.

I'm sure this storm will carry the largest claim amount the insurance industry has seen.  Already have seen some pushback as to how the storm will be classified here in MA that could affect owners policies and deductibles.  Thanks George.
