No need to 'Fall Behind', Update your AR profile, and Blog background!

The upcoming time change (Sunday, November 4, 2012) provides an opportunity for all ActiveRain Members!

Time moves quickly, and that fabulous profile that you currently boast on ActiveRain, might have become a tad stale! I had completely forgotten about my AR Profile, and assumed that no one ever looked at it!

I was:

Wrong
Wrong!
Wrong!!!

We're all moving forward, and our best work, is hopefully the work that we've most recently done!

Do you have fresh photos from your recent success stories?
Do you have new statistics to boast about?
Have you posted new videos?
Does your company boast a new logo?
Does your AR Profile boast daffodils? (Psssssst, it's kind of chrysanthemum weather now) <G>!

Check the number of times that your profile has been viewed. It's a real number, and each of those 'views' represents a real person, who graciously clicked on your profile to learn more about you, and the services you provide! I was embarassed last year when I realized I had neglected my Profile-duties, and the photos that I had posted years before, didn't really reflect the work that I was currently doing. So, I try to use the twice-yearly time changes as reminders that I need to change the clock, and change my AR Profile.

I also spruced up my background on my blogs, and then went over to other sites where I have profiles (Thumbtack, Stagedhomes.com) and did them too!

I think we look fresh as a......., well, fresh as a pumpkin!

My profile has been viewed over 16000 times but it's been ages since it was last updated. My resume section is a bit out of date (renewed last year) and the photo could be much better.

Hi Bryan! Wow, 16,000 -that's great! I really never looked at that number until recently. Always thought it was meaningless. Then I Googled myself and my AR Profile came up as the top item in a particular search. That's what motivated me to keep it in shape!

Howdy Nathan! I think you'll be surprised to see how long this task has been delayed. When I originally joined AR (way back in the day when we wrote our blogs on parchment with quills) I set up my profile. Three, maybe four years later, I Googled myself and came upon my profile as one of the top items in my search - complete with my dreary, dowdy, four-year-old information.

As you can see (click on my profile) I've added video, links, photos, and all kinds of amusements!
