Like others have mentioned, I've never heard of this type of program before. So clever, so practical, and so generous ... sounds like a win-win to me!
Sending a truck load over (beep beep backing up sound getting louder)
Now that is cool. A dentist really believing in his field, paying for the candy and then donating it to the troops. That's a gold star in my book!
John,
What a cool idea I wonder how many are willing to give up their "stash". But, it really sounds like everyone wins!
This is a win-win for everyone.
It is November 1st, and you have 4 posts in already? I guess you will make the challenge easily.
John,
I think this is awesome and I agree with some of the comments we should do this across the nation. I know I have tons left and do not need to eat it!
John- this is such a great idea!!! I had to send Larry out for more last night, but will be giving my neighbor what's left over. She manages a property with low-income families and likes to have candy there for the children.
Great idea. We bought a conservative amount of dark chocolate - the left overs are in our freezer for a rainy day. Ha. Geez, I'm with Don - 4 posts in one day....you are amazing.
Great concept.. I know that when my kids got candy.. for a few nights i would ration our a bit.. and then they would just forget it was there.. nobody needs that much candy.. and having a placea to donate it would be a great way to share.
Now thats a good community service project with far reaching results + the kids get to make some cash for their piggybanks.
Hello friends....
Along with a buck a pound for the candy people donating will also get a free tooth brush from Dr. Wall. This is the 6th year he has done this candy buy back and it's working well... A win ... win for all.
Have a great evening and enjoy your left over sweets :)
John ~ that is an amazing way to spread some joy with service men and women! Super idea!!
John, this is such a great program. It teaches children to share and give, helps the service men and women in so many ways and does help make friends. Not to mention saving a few teeth, LOL.
That is a great program to encourage good habits.
John, what a fantastic idea... love it! Our halloween has been rescheduled for Sat, Nov 3 because of the inclement weather we have had here....still have candy for all the ghosts and goblins!1
Hi John, needless to say I LOVE the Halloween Candy Buy Back Program! It is such an awesome idea and if there's one thing we got too much of, then it is Halloween Candy!
This is a pretty unique idea. I like it and it supports a great cause. We have a lot of left over candy at my office, but Austin and I are eating it for breakfast...it's the breakfast of champions.
John,
That's awesome! What a GREAT idea and it will make for healthier kids physically and emotionally.
I love this idea!!!
