Google+ To Increase Your Traffic?

I just finished a Class today with Eric Proulx, and Bob Stewart on ActiveRain, & I learned so much!

Google+ Trendy?  Or a Must on YOUR “to do” List?

OH NO! another thing to do.  I don’t know about you, but some days I’m exhausted of all this blogging, SEO, Twitter, FB, AR contests etc! The thought of one more thing on the list can be overwhelming. Question is, should Google+ be dismissed as trendy? Or is it something that is extremely important. You be the judge!

google+The class today taught me a few new things that I did not know about Google+ and why I am thinking it is a super important part of my internet presence. It is more than a social network and this is why. Google+ is owned by Google. People are searching Google all day long for just about everything. There are over 100 Million users... and this 20 million more than Facebook. Facebook is for the people that are your friends. Google is for searching and meeting people. Set up your Google+ account and the profile you set up is how Google knows who YOU are!  This way you become socially active and get to use Target Keywords in your interactions.

I set up my account a while ago and was not really thinking much about it. I did meet up with a few people there and commented once in a while and wasn’t really paying much attention to this. Recently I began to see the light and began to get involved in the process. I submitted all my website for Google Authorship with the help of ActiveRain and the people that know how to do this. The interesting thing is that traffic to my website is increasing.  Clients are telling me that they see me all over the internet! That for me is a sweet place to be. My phone is ringing... and that is what counts!

This seems to be the trend for where social media and Google search will matter going forward. I think that getting in on this early is important. It does not take big amount of time from my day, and the people I see using it are top producers. To me that says something.  Trendy or trending.. I am not waiting to find out the answer…. Waiting to find out the answer could cost me from being number one when my clients search on Google! So I say thanks to all for letting me the how and they why.. I am convinced!

For anyone that missed it .. there is a link in the comments for the actual class that was hosted by Bob and taught by Eric Proulx.. I know I am seeing new traffic.. but not just by setting it up along with the authorship.. get out there and meet people like you do on AR.. I hope to see many of you soon. and believe me. I have no idea what i am doing... just follow the next persons lead... and let's go for it!

Janet~Whenever I can, I DO try to come listen in during the webinars for whatever new trendy/trending things that Bob Stewart or whomever else I respect tells me about. It CAN be exhausting running a business by yourself and being the sales/marketing team, the web developer, the A/R person, and wife/mother/husband/father as well as all of the other hats we wear OUTSIDE THE BUSINESS. Great post, and actually I found it (again) on...wait for it....GOOGLE+!!

Whew. I need to go take a nap.

It beats Google Ad Words. So confused about that still. I just learn about Pinterest. That's going to be another learning curve but does seem easier.

The opening paragraph of your blog really snagged me in...it is exhausting to try and do all of this yourself, esp the learning curves.  I'm going to check AR university to see if I can watch the webinar. Sure wish my income was more consistant so I could hire someone to take care of this for me!
