Legendary longtime talk radio host and #1 NYT best-selling author Neal Boortz is retiring on Inauguration Day, January 20, 2013. But before Neal walks away from the nationally syndicated show heard on more than 200 radio stations nationwide, he’s coming to Orlando for one last visit. 

But before Neal walks away from the nationally syndicated show heard on more than 200 radio stations nationwide, he’s coming to Orlando for one last visit. Boortz will be joined by  Mel Robbins,  Jamie Dupree, Andy Dean, Clark Howard and special guest,  Herman Cain, to discuss the current state of the country and how the upcoming election will affect Central Florida.

Join WDBO at Fall Fiesta in the Park on Saturday, November 3rd, and see Stand Up For America, LIVE! This event is FREE and will take place on the Lake Eola, Walt Disney Amphitheatre Stage from 2-4pm.

I first heard of Neal Boortz in the late '90s or early 2000.  Ironically, it was by way of a local Birmingham radio host back then that was Conservative as well- yet wanted to make a name for himself.  One of his bigger challenges was in balancing his own love of Neal and listening to his show every day- while doing his best not to come off as a Neal wanna-be.  I'll miss Neal when he's gone, and I surely wish I'd started to listening to him long before I actually did.

It's time we all stood up for America, though- there's surely no one else that's going to stand up for us...

Hi, Mike:  Thank you for dropping by, and for your comment.  I've always liked Herman Cain, too- and it's both sad and predictable that he was treated as poorly as he was during the primary season.  It was a telling thing that the incumbent was so afraid of him- all on the Left were afraid that Cain was uniquely situated to nullify their biggest advantage.

Hi, Nicholas:  Thank you for stopping by, and for your comment.  I'll agree with you that Cain's 999 plan hurt him more than folks ever expected it would.  The liberal left was never going to support it, to be sure- but the surprise came in how it was viewed as Fair Tax Lite or Flat Tax Lite and was never embraced  by either group as the stop-gap bridge Cain enviisioned it to be.  But more than 999, it was a certain element of folks and their choosing to engage in racist, defamatory and sickening false charges against him that led Cain to quit the race in favor of his family's well-being.
