30 Things To Do in Pullman Washington: Number 2

Today  (Friday November 2, 2012), is incredible for two reasons!

One is my first born son's birthday. And yes, I am a proud Mother of both of my sons.  It is is amazing to see them all grown up.  And my first born is a father himself of an adorable 2 year old daugther.  So, I guess I am beginning today's blog with counting my blessings.

Second is that it is an amazingly beautiful day in Pullman with temperatures forecasted to be 57 with a 41 degree low.  That calls for getting out and enjoying the weather while we can.  This is also the last Friday night with the longer days as this weekend we set the clocks back.  So after work, get out and enjoy the weather before it changes on us.

Just 15 minutes north of Pullman is a great 298 acre park called  "Kamiak Butte".  This is one of my favorite places to go.  As you walk up the Pine Ridge Trail you are surrounded by lovely canopy of pine trees.

The loop ois about 3.5 mile walk.  It is relatively moderate hike, beginning and ending in the park.  It is one of my favorite places to send folks considering of moving to Pullman, as it gives incredible views of the rolling hills of the unique area of our country called the Palouse.  It is also a favorite place to take pictures, and these two are a couple of the many I have personally taken.

Tip of the day for Homeowners:  Don't forget when raking those leaves into the street, to clear those gutters of leaves and debris!
