This time of year, I start marking my favorite holiday bazaars in my calendar - and there are some really good ones coming up for the 2012 season in the Olympia WA area! I love the opportunity to support local craftspeople and artists. And I love the chance to find some unique and beautiful gifts for family and friends on my shopping list!
One of the ones I always enjoy is Homemade for the Holidays at Thurston County Fairgrounds today (November 2nd) from 4-8 and then tomorrow, Saturday November 3rd. from 9-4. There will be more than 100 vendors showcasing their items in multiple buildings at the fairgrounds on Carpenter Rd in Lacey, WA. Parking and admission are free!
Next "don't miss" favorite of mine is Saturday, November 17th at Olympia High School - the Bearzaar. Always a great collection of creative and enticing items at booths spread through the gymnasium, commons and cafeteria of the high school.
And after your big Thanksgiving feast, don't miss the bazaar on November 23-24, also at the Thurston County Fairgrounds. You know you will want to walk off that extra serving of stuffing and pie - and you can have fun while making a good dent in your holiday shopping list.
I don't claim to be any good at crafts myself - but I sure LOVE visiting the Olympia area holiday bazaars!!
