Transcript:

Today I want to talk about converting oil to gas. I got a phone call earlier today from a husband and wife and they were asking me should we convert. They were looking into getting a new furnace and they already had oil and were wondering if they should convert to gas, which is going to cost them a few thousand extra.

I have a different opinion on this. I feel converting to gas is worth a few extra thousand. People/buyers prefer gas. I guess with all the problems with the oil tank, including the cost of oil and the issues of the oil tanks in the ground leaking, it would be better to convert. But I wouldn't change just to sell the house. This couple was thinking about selling in a couple of years and they need a new furnace, at that point if you are making a change I would definitely convert to gas.
