Day after day, and I can say this because I really feel since I joined Keller Williams Capital Properties, I have been in a starting all over phase. I have been a Realtor for 12 years and I can say I was in the real estate business but what did that look like for me? I haven't been running my Real Estate business. On the contrary, it had been running me.
I have been so revitalized since I joined Keller Williams. Don't get it twisted, I'm not caught up on the hype of the company and what I can for them/me. See that, when I put them before me, that's what happens. It's not about them when you branch out on your own, IT'S ABOUT YOU! When you make a decision to say YOU want to run your own business and to be in control of YOUR business, what does that look like? Because coming Realtor or an Insurance Agent or a Life Specialist, I speak on these because been there done that, it is your business, and your destiny. Companies get you caught up in the the you but when it's all said and done, it's the them unless you created that business by yourself. IF, it is yours, then YOU need to make it be what you envision it to be!
When I joined Keller Williams, "I'm a Realtor", took on a whole meaning for me. A minister once told me, "If you are a Minister for own selfish ambitions and you don't like people, THEN you are in the wrong business. Ministry is a servant's position. I feel the same way about being a Realtor. I am a service to the people who need me or require my services. I am totally here for the client and I want them to be satisfield. If you are only focused on the money and yourself, STOP IT NOW! Your focus becomes your drive and money comes and money goes but memories and accomplishments and knowing you were there to make a difference, now that's beautiful.
Really figure out why you're doing what you are doing. A career as a Realtor is a business building effort. If you are just taking leads and depending on the company to meet your needs, you might as well be working in the corporate world. No one ever said that to me, because the thought process was, "it's all about he brand and the company and has little to do with me". I worked my butt off and I am the one broke or stuggling year after year but those days are over. MY REAL ESTATE CAREER IS MY BUSINESS DECISION. IT IS A BUSINESS THAT I HAVE TO RUN! I feel better now. LOL
You can't be all you want to be when you have no direction and there is no vision. I can only speak for me and when it's all said and done you can only speak for you. I can say I finally am in an environment for my growth and my financial stability and for "MY BIG WHY". The "BIG WHY" is real. WHY ARE YOU DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING? WHY DO YOU LOVE IT???? WHY AREN'T YOU FULLFILLED???? WHY ISN'T IT STABLE?? WHY??????? It's your life. You only live it once. DO WHAT YOU LOVE! WHAT IS THAT FIRE THAT IS STILL BURNING ON THE INSIDE. TAP INTO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO WITH THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. I DID! You'll feel much better!
