8 Random Things About Me...I Have Been Meme'd

4 out 5 voices say I'm normal. OK, I want to thank Midori for this, again painful experience, like once wasn't enough. I am not sure what other secrets that I could possibly share but lets give it a try...

I have had this book on my bookshelf for two years but have never read it...guess I'll do it tomorrow.
I seriously think I should be on Ritalin...Not that I'm hyper, I just cannot focus on one task at a time. I have to be running around like a chicken with my head chopped off or I'm not happy. Uhh look butterflies!!!!
I was a Radio station DJ at PSU in New Ken. We played Punk, when Punk was the only Alternative Rock. The Sex Pistols, Dead Milkmen, Depeche Mode, and we also play heavy metal. :) (yeah, you'll have an earworm after clicking the last one)
I was the President of the Chess Club in High School and was the A/V guy and stage hand for theater club - Total nerd!
My favorite movies are the old Monty Python movies; Search for the Holy Grail, Life of Brian and the Meaning of Life
Best days of Boating are the day you buy and the day you sell it. I had a 20 ft Bayliner when I was in college and we used to be on Three Rivers all the time...If it weren't for beer and gas back then I would be a rich man today.

I really wish life was much simpler...I love technology but it has really changed the way we work and relate to everything and everybody in life. And I don't think its all that great for our kids future but its hard to break. I am sorry they can't have a childhood like we did...batteries not included!

Somehow...this doesn't surprise me :) I sure can picture you on that boat....lol!

I'm surprised by how much I agree with you! All but the boat... I can't get enough of it! But as to chlldhood, I want more children, but feel bad about the life they will inherit as compared to my own charmed childhood. I do, however, own the entire Monte Python collection on DVD, have banned ritalin in order to better enjoy all those distractions, and I play a mean game of chess. My pere taught me early that it's a parable for life... Who would have guessed??

Chess club...I learned during the hurricane's in 04. It was the best way to pass time..without power.

As far as your music...love it..my kids play punk music..sometimes it really hurts my ears. :) Monty Python..I didn't always get the humor but loved... Search for the holy grail.

Woohoo, The boat was fun, but expensive. Gas on the river was alway about $1 more than on the street. Pittsburgh actual has more boats per capita than any of your major ocean sea ports. Everyone was on the rivers for the weekend.

Jennifer, I am not one to talk about myself...so it will always be the abridged version. I have dropping some notice that I would like the full Monty Python collection to the Fam, but they don't seem to catch my drift.

Bob, i wish times were simpler to... Now how does a guy that can't sit still play chess?

I was just releaved that the book on your shelf wasn't linked to Kama Sutra. Now I have to dig up the old cd in the closet. I probably have that one on vinyl, actually.

The Dead Milkmen, I would not have guessed that one. I was just humming one of their less PC songs the other day when I took my kids to the zoo, nothing against my kids. :)

We are a lot alike. I think I have adult ADD too. Do you have a whole bunch of windows open on your computer at the same time? Do you twitter in between tasks?

Oh...and I have the Bayliner. Just haven't sold it yet.

LOL I almost typed @LindaDavis to say, "yes, I have 12 windows open on my laptop right now and I am twittering and going thru my reader and putting in a load of towels after the whites after filling out my sample ballot and voting at lunch and running my mom over a piece of birthday cake.

Should I twitter or photo blog from the voting booth?

I don't have 12 windows open right now...I am using FF with 12 tab open and Twitbin running the side. so I can see what twitter is doing while I read Buffini's coaching page, check my stats, read 9 Facebook application to make money, Listen to a Jott from @troyturner, thumb through Real Estate Porn on ResPres Flickr site, Watching "the Office" on Hulu, responding to email, setting up rules to clean up my inbox, listening to KEY 103 play Welcome to Margerittaville, while @respres starts to spam my twitter window.

@CEG, I can't photoblog right now, I cleaned out 200 contacts in my address book and The Q is updating over the air and this has been going on since Monday!!!

Your post reminds me of a line I read in a book about a character that reminded me of me... "If you want to drive her nuts, tie her to her office chair." I have to get up and move around constantly. Especially if I have just completed some intense project. I believe the term may be Adult ADD LOL

Great condensed version of the MeMe! I, too, owned a boat and lived on the lake during college -- but, it was a ski boat! I also believe that a large portion of that lake property could actually belong to me if it weren't for the gas and alcohol $$$ spent!! On a serious note, I wish my children could have grown up in my same generation--much simpler and safer!

Debi, It is the reader's digest abridged version of a meme. Short and sweet.

Depending on how many were in the boat we could get up behind it. Skiing was a gas hog. We would load up and head up to the island for the weekend play horse shoes and cards...while enjoying some adult beverages.
