Since last weeks storm I have been flooded with calls from families looking for rentals . This time of year it is especially a challenge to find suitable homes that are available for rent and even more difficult to find rentals that allow pets or landlords that will consider short term rentals .
The Monmouth/Ocean County Multiple Listing Service announced that there are currently 1,100 rental properties posted as being available as of Nov 5th. This number may not be accurate since so many offices have been without power but there is a great enough pool of rentals available to make the search easier by using a Realtor for your home search.

You can browse through the listings and then feel free to contact me or any Realtor in your desired area for assistance. When you do contact a Realtor please let them know how many are in your household, what your budget is, and also if you have pets. It will make their search for you a lot easier and save you a lot of time.
Most Landlords will require that you fill out a Rental Application before you can lease their property so here is a list of some information you may need to gather ahead of time before you start your rental search.
- Legal Names & Current Address, Contact Information
- Employer, Their Address & Contact Number, Length of Employment
- If You Are Currently Renting, Present Landlords Contact Information
- At Least 3 References Other Than Relatives, Their Name Address, Phone Numbers
- Recent Credit Report If Available . If You Don't Have One Most Realtors Can Obtain One For You.
