Cold white rooms are a tough sell.  But painting can be a big job too.  Here is a low cost alternative to painting that will change the entire feel, and indeed color, of a space for almost no money or effort:

Add floor-to-ceiling window panels.  Because of their size, window panels will add big swaths of color.  Plus, if they are linen or another lightweight material, they will filter the light in the space and actually reflect the color onto those white walls.

Here are 2 examples from homes I recently completed:

BEFORE                                                                                AFTER

BEFORE - bare white walls  AFTER home staging - warm and glowing

BEFORE home staging - cold and sterile     AFTER home staging - Warm and Inviting

Lisa, I love what you did with the window treatments.  I am currently working on 5 model homes that the client has requested window treatments.  My deliema is that the windows are almost all 108" and one is 120".  Do you know of anyone who sells extended length?  I have checked and JC Penneys and Bed Bath and Beyond do but they are so expensive.  Any ideas would be appreciated.
