The Newest Hot Water Heaters?Phase Hot Water Heater

I was so surprised just the other day, when walking into the mechanicals room of two - not one - two different homes - to find a different looking hot water heater....   I am used to the round tall ones that hold anywhere from 40 gallons to 80 gallons.

Lo and behold they now have square ones!   Two houses in a row!!   Whaaaat?    I do not know if they are cheaper, more expensive, better quality, etc.   But they sure are different.

Hopefully, one of our favorite inspector friends will stop in and tell us all about it.

Dagny, I have seen them as well, and thought it was a combination with a 'Hot Spot' heater with a reservoir.

Dagny I hae not seen one yet.  I agree it would be nice to get a review from one of the inspectors here.

Have a great week.

Well they are more "efficient" in terms of water volume they can hold.  I'm not sure though from a heating perspective.

Ed- I haven't seen one since, but they are new, after all....

Jennifer - maybe I'll email one for his opinion.

Ginny - I'll get James, eh?

Debbie - They sure would tuck into a corner nicely, wouldn't they?
