TOP 5 REASONS TO LIVE IN THE JEWEL BOX - CAPITOLA HOMES FOR SALE
Since I grew up in the Jewel Box in Capitola I feel that I am well qualified to list the top 5 reasons to live in the Jewel Box in Capitola. If you are thinking of moving to the Jewel Box or are searching for homes for sale in the Jewel Box - Capitola check out my list!:
1. What a great name - The Jewel Box - the name comes from the streets: Opal, Emerald, Topaz, Garnet, Ruby . . .
2. Never, ever have to find a parking place in Capitola Village - if you live in Capitola you just don't drive to the Village
3. Easy walk to Capitola Village & Capitola Beach, 41st Avenue shopping - I spent my summers growing up on Capitola Beach and in Capitola Jr Guards. Our home in the Jewel Box was less than a 10 minute walk from the beach.
4. Be a part of the Capitola Communty with fantastic events like the Capitola Art & Wine Festival, Begonia Festival, and the Capitola Summertime Twilight Concerts. Capitola has a great sense of community where you can be involved and really get to know your neighbors.
5. The ocean is your backyard - many of the lots of the homes for sale in the Jewel Box, Capitola are not very large but we have the ocean just a few minutes walk away. Learn to surf, kayak, sail, kite board and enjoy the beautiful Monterey Bay.
The Jewel Box in Capitola is one of my favorite neighborhoods in Santa Cruz county and I know I am not alone there. It is a highly desirable place to live where you have both long term residents and some vacation homes. There are Jewel Box homes on the bluff that have views of Capitola Village and Monterey Bay and can be worth millions. There are other homes for sale in the Jewel Box that are charming beach cottages of a modest size. The Capitola Jewel Box is a relatively small area and there are not usually many homes for sale in there.
