The Montgomery Knolls Neighborhood is located just off of University Blvd near where University intersects Piney Branch Road in Silver Spring - zip code 20901 The neighborhood connects to the smaller older Clifton Park Village subdivision. The Northwest Branch park borders the edges of the neighborhoods.
This mature, established community has 162 Single Family Homes. The first section of homes in Montgomery Knolls were built in 1948. The rest of the neighborhood was built out through the 1950's and 60's. You'll find quaint cape cods, colonials and some larger mid century modern ramblers and split levels in the neighborhood.
There is a popular community pool and swim club in the heart of the community called Daleview Pool. There are also two other community pools nearby, the Franklin Knolls Pool and the Public Pool at Longbranch. The Northwest Branch Park bordering the Montgomery Knolls subdivision offers hiking, biking trails, picnic areas, baseball fields and nature watching. The Longbranch Library, Recreation and Communtiy Center are less than a 1/2 mile away.
Because of it's proximity to 495 (the Beltway) the community offers a convenient commute for people working anywhere in the DC Metro area. The University of Maryland, Montgomery College and Catholic University are within minutes of Montgomery Knolls. There is shopping and a great choice of restaurants nearby, in Washington DC, Woodmoor Shopping Center, Old Town Takoma Park and Downtown Silver Spring.
