What if your wedding reception could be like a cocktail party?
The Vue, a local restaurant in the waterfront area, is showcasing a new way to handle wedding receptions. 
Straight forward and classy while also being less of a financial burden, the cocktail party has a certain feel, from the bridesmaids’ dresses to the table set up and on of course the drinks (including mandatory snacks per Oregon law). For those who enjoy “themes” this could be an interesting concept to consider.
We had not come across this concept until recently, and apparently it is the latest wedding trend. Leave it to Corvallis entrepreneurs to serve up with a modern idea that has broad appeal. The panoramic view of the facility works well with this format.
Promoters of the idea say more interaction takes place with this style of reception because there are fewer places to camp out and talk to the same people. Their website says Friday evenings are often preferred, which makes sense.
